NaFFAA, the National Federation of Filipino American Associations, is the voice of Filipino American solidarity that transcends generations, organizations, economics, health and politics.

 

MISSION

  • To mobilize the organization’s resources to realize its stated statutory purpose through an effective advocacy system, program, policy and organizational structure.

  • To establish a communications Infrastructure that integrates all tools of information and education to enhance NaFFAA’s mission and goals.

  • To preserve, honor, and recognize best practices to attain one solid voice and vision.

  • To alleviate disparities in physical and mental health as well as healthcare delivery in the Filipino American community.

  • To provide assistance to Community organizations and businesses about safety for children and seniors.

  • To create a successful leadership, mentorship and internship programs, succession planning, and implementation of the Alex Esclamado Scholarship, and Tax Preparation Assistance.

  • To identify financial resource and support the national organization and maintain regulation compliance on financial reporting.

STRATEGIES 

  1. Filipino American Vote is a year round national program of NaFFAA.

  2. Alliances/partnership/collaboration with local and mainstream organization.

  3. Constant communication streamlined, unified and singular message for advocacy from NaFFAA National.

  4. Develop a cadre of NaFFAA advocates at all levels.

  5. Establish strong relationships with Asian advocacy groups and policy makers in Wash.DC.

  6. Identify funding sources, training and recruitment opportunities.

  7. Design financial guidelines and implement roles.

  8. Establish a menu of development projects that can be supported by partners.

  9. Open communication involving young professionals and youth and Honor contributions of young leaders in the community.

  10. Create Programs that can be replicated nationally.

  11. Identify Participants who can be in the pipeline for leadership.

  12. Extend programs to other Ethnic Communities.

 

GOALS

  1. Maintain the relevancy of NaFFAA as the voice of the Filipino Americans.

  2. Educate the Filipino Americans community on issues that impact them directly or indirectly.

  3. Promote strong leadership qualities and values exemplified by NaFFAA leaders

  4. Identify or create funding strategy to sustain infrastructure

  5. Educate, train and develop Filipino American community leaders.

  6. Develop strong relationship with potential sponsors and donors.

  7. Increase the percentage of Filipino Americans practicing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle (improved diet & physical activity & avoidance of substance abuse) and increase the percentage of Filipino Americans with health insurance.

  8. Nationwide educational/Informational sessions regarding safety for children and seniors adopted by 2017.

  9. Award 25 scholarships of the Alex Esclamado Scholarship nationwide by 2016.

  10. Manuals and guidelines for different programs in place by 2016.

  11. Tax Assistance–EITC (Enhanced Income Tax Credit) program adopted by 4 Regions by 2016.

  12. Completed a Youth Leadership Program by 2016.
