Kayla Delson

STUDENT INDUCTEE

Mikayla Delson is an ambitious and passionate young freelance photographer who loves adventure and working with people.

She a full-time sophomore studying photography, at the College of DuPage, and is involved with many Chicago communities which allow her to practice her love of the arts and photography. At the Field Museum, she is a photographer for the Digital Co-curation Team of the Philippines collection, where she photographs and edits the artifacts stored in the vaults of the museum. She is a member of The Museum of Contemporary Art's Teens Creative Agency program, where she and a team of creative teens learn, practice, and build skills of an artist, whether it is through curating events, collaborating with other artists, or leading conversations within and outside of the museum.

Most recently, Kayla was selected to become a member of the Remix Project at the Lacuna Artists Loft — a program designed for young people trying to pursue a career in the creative arts — where mentors individually work with each student to achieve their own goals. Mikayla's goal is to become a professional photographer, and constantly tries to find inspiration through opportunities and connections. She never wants to stop learning and is eager to see the different ways her photography can impact people's lives.
