Ginger Leopoldo

Ginger Leopoldo is an educator, actor, director, and community organizer. She is a founding member, and former 

Executive and Artistic Director, for the Center for Immigrant Resources and Community Arts (CIRCA)-Pintig a non-profit 

organization that believes in the power of the arts to reflect the immigrant experience CIRCA-Pintig recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.

 

She is currently Artistic Associate for A-Squared Theatre Workshop and embraces artistic and community collaborations. Her many projects include co-producing and performing in Around the World in 8 Folktales in collaboration with ThinkGlobal Arts Foundation, Silencing Stigma: Speaking Out, and performing for A-Squared Theatre Workshop's productions of "My Asian Mom" presenting new sketches for all three seasons. She was last seen on stage performing in Prologue Theatre Company's production of "Tea" by Velina Hasu Houston, a Jeff Recommended production this past Fall.

 

Ginger received her Master of Arts in theater from the University of Illinois - Chicago and has served as president of UIC's School of Theatre and Music Alumni Association. She is a mother of three children: Ube, Basilio, and Olive and 

lives in the south-side of Chicago.
