Fanny Sampson Cohen

Fanny Sampson Cohen, of Mexican and Jewish parents, was born and grew up in Mexico City. Her professional career has included stints in the industries of design, marketing, and sales. She currently work at the Holocaust Museum in Skokie, Illinois, building bridges between communities to create a positive synergy that encourages others to see their similarities within everyone else.

Rooted in her Mexican and Jewish cultures, Fanny moved to the United States in the late 1980s and has strived, every day, to break cultural and religious stereotypes. She works for, and volunteers, in many organizations that empower those values. Fanny has worked to build a valuable relationship between the Holocaust Museum and consulates in Latin America to connect adults and children, from different cultures and religions, to achieve empathy that, in the long term, she believes can create bonds of peace between communities.

Fanny graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana with a degree in Communications. She later continued her education in the United States. She is Mom to four children, and I sees herself as a woman unafraid to show her roots and beliefs which she takes beyond her home.
