Anne Shaw

Anne I. Shaw is a founding officer and shareholder of Shaw Legal Services, Ltd. Her practice concentrates in civil litigation in the areas of commercial, civil rights and personal injury. Her firm also handles a vast array of work including, estate planning, corporate transactional work, consumer bankruptcy, family law, and real estate law. 

 

Anne helped found, and co-chaired, the Chinatown Pro Bono Legal Clinic with the Asian American Bar Association (AABA), co-chaired the Judicial Evaluation Committee for AABA, Chaired the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County’s Asian Advisory Council, and currently serves as the President of the Asian American Bar Association’s Law Foundation.

 

She was a recipient of the Sandra R. Otaka Leadership Award from the Asian American Bar Association in 2010, named a “Best Lawyer Under 40” by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association in 2009, and received the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County’s Civic Leader Award. In 2008, Anne was named “40 Lawyers Under 40 to Watch” by Chicago Lawyer’s Bulletin and Chicago Law Bulletin 2008.

 

Anne obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree from DePaul University and her Juris Doctorate from IIT Chicago Kent College of Law.
